twenty-eleven

you are still young enough to think that torment of the spirit is a splendid thing, a sign of a superior nature. but you are no longer a young man; you are a youngish middle-aged man, and it is time you found out that these spiritual athletics do not lead to wisdom. forgive yourself for being a human creature ... that is the beginning of wisdom; that is part of what is meant by the Fear of God; and for you that is the only way to save your sanity.

fear of god, fear of self, interalization of longing. similar same all in one. read between the lines. youth is not beauty, ageism and distinctual variables are part of this "fear of god". Fear is the mind killer... or something like that ... i know i read that somewhere... oh yes, Dune... how i love those books. me a geek? yes. incoherent at the best of times? yes that too.
